Our Products

Blatchford Products

Our lower limb prosthetic products are designed and developed with the K-level classification of the amputee in mind. Below is a visuals to help understand what patient activity levels or K-Levels are:

Description of K-Levels

The Prosthesis Will Be Determined By An Amputee's K-Level

K-levels are used by the National Health Service (NHS) to ensure uniformity in determining which prosthetic devices are medically necessary for each patient. For example, if the physician feels the amputee has the potential to be able to walk around the house, but they will not have the strength or ability to walk on uneven surfaces or to climb kerbs and stairs, they would be rated as a household ambulator (walker), ability level K1.*

BMK2

Introducing

BMK2 - Mechanical Knee

BMK2

Everyday Freedom

Thanks to its lightweight, compact design, the BMK2 is helping people regain their independence and their confidence. The BMK2 is a simple and affordable mechanical knee that provides stability, security and easy, smooth walking for K2 users.

Stance flexion provides additional shock absorption & cushioning for greater comfort. Because the BMK2 is lighter and easier to use, it requires less energy for movement which leads to longer, more enjoyable walks.

Understanding Prosthetics

Whether you are a new amputee or have lived with amputation for a while, prosthetic technology can be overwhelming. We explain some of the technology behind today’s prosthetics and how Blatchford uses the natural working of the human body to influence the design of our products.
