Blatchford believes caring for someone means always keeping their best interests at heart. For more than 130 years we have maintained a continuous relationship directly with the people who use artificial lower limbs. Our caring, innovative spirit helps us to build these types of relationships.
Founded in 1890, Blatchford employs over 900 people worldwide. With headquarters around the globe including Basingstoke (UK), Ohio (USA) and Frankfurt (Germany). Blatchford is breaking through boundaries by creating the future of mobility and helping people realise dreams.

Advanced Tech That is Second to None
Blatchford is a multi-award winning manufacturer of some of the world’s most advanced prosthetic technology. One of our more advanced intelligent prosthetic limb systems, Linx, has won engineering awards and is still the world's first and only fully microprocessor controlled limb system.
Linx mimics the complex structure of the human anatomy. It senses and analyses data from both the knee and ankle to provide a synchronised stream of instructions that coordinate the movement of the entire prosthetic limb.
