We now have excellent opportunities for experienced Wheelchair Therapists, to join our specialist Wheelchair service in Rotherham and deliver outstanding clinical services to a wide variety of patients.
You will manage a caseload of patients with complex and specialist needs, planning and implementing appropriate treatment plans, and prescribing clinically appropriate wheelchairs. Working with a highly competent technical team, you will use your clinical skills and judgement, to ensure the wheelchair prescribed meets the patients’ individual needs, supporting them to get busy living!

Some wheelchair experience is essential; we also welcome applications from therapists of different disciplines that have worked in manual therapy and are looking to move into wheelchairs. Training will be provided to meet the successful candidate’s needs, CPD is highly encouraged and we have team of wheelchair clinicians, with a wealth of experience, who will provide ‘on the job’ coaching and mentoring.
All we are looking for is a patient focussed therapist, who is passionate about delivering an excellent clinical service. You will be innovative in your approach to provide your patients with the best possible care, looking for efficient and effective evidence based ways to get the best outcomes for your patients. Collaborating with others, you will share your ideas with the team to improve the service, and you will liaise with other specialists to provide a multi-disciplinary approach throughout the patient’s treatment plan. When you have ‘found your feet’ in wheelchair services, ideally you will be comfortable supervising and mentoring junior members of the team, sharing your skills and expertise to further develop the service.
The successful applicant will be degree qualified in a therapeutic discipline and will be HCPC registered.
