Test and Simulation Engineer

We are now looking for a Test and Simulation Engineer to join our Research & Development Team based in our Head Office in Basingstoke, to carry out testing and evaluation of prosthetic/medical device components & assemblies.
We welcome applications from candidates with a degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering, or demonstrable experience in a similar role including testing and validation of projects from initial concept to final design.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the mechanics of solids and structures, design principles and control theory.
In order to excel in this role the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at a technical level, both verbally and written when required. You’ll be focused and flexible in your approach, a reliable team player and a problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
You will utilise these skills in:
- Structural testing to ISO standards
- Developing simulations to support the new product development process
- Preparing test reports for approval as part of project technical files
- Supporting of future ISO test standards
- Managing sub-contract testing
- Day to day management and overview of the test lab
This is a full time position, 36.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday’s. In return we offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits and the opportunity to develop with an award winning employer.
