We now have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Team Leader, to join our busy Quality Control team based in our rapidly growing facility in Basingstoke.

The Quality Control Team Leader is responsible for managing the daily performance of the QC Technicians. Reporting on and making improvements to the departments performance.

This is an exciting and challenging role for a pro-active individual, who has proven experience in people management, implementing new production processes and tooling, as well as specifying new equipment needs to external suppliers.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject and be able to demonstrate an ability to resolve problems, educate, and work to exacting standards.

They will utilise their skills and experience to take responsibility for:

  • Managing people and their performance in the department.
  • Supporting the Quality Manager in improvement activities.
  • Working with the Quality Engineers to implement new processes.
  • Maintaining a high standard of work and conformance to processes as defined by Quality Assurance team and the Quality Manager.
  • Reporting on the department’s performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • To lead MRB reviews.
  • Using a wide range of hand measurement tools (micrometers, plug gauges etc.) and larger pieces of equipment (CMM, VMM etc.) to inspect components.
  • Supporting internal and external audits as required.

Therefore we are ideally looking for a strong communicator with good interpersonal and analytical skills, who is able to work as part of a team or independently with minimal support.

The role is full time and permanent; working 36.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday’s. We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits and the opportunity to work in a unique manufacturing environment, driving success in an award winning organisation.
