We have now have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join our team in Sheffield and lead our industry leading orthotic and seating production teams, to support our patients around the country.

Our specialist orthotic and seating technicians make mobility possible by developing bespoke devices, to overcome mobility limitations and improve the life of every person we meet. They play a vital role in supporting clinical teams to provide solutions which meet the individual patients’ needs and satisfy their specific requirements.

The role of the successful Production Manager is to manage and motivate these teams to ensure efficient and effective performance, to meet key production targets and deliver products that are right first time, on time.

The Production Manager is responsible for:

  • Manage production teams effectively to ensure products are manufactured on time and to the right standards of quality
  • Managing cost centres to control costs, reduce waste and maximise profitability.
  • Liaising closely with clinical services regarding the manufacture of orthotic and seating products
  • Working with the Operations Director to develop, monitor and review KPIs within manufacturing
  • Continually review and develop processes to deliver improvements in productivity / reduced cost and lead times.

Therefore we are really looking for someone who has experience of managing operations in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will also have experience of effectively managing change in a manufacturing/production environment and have the ability to inspire teams and individuals. They will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. They will be a strong and effective leader, as well as being able to work well as part of a team. Most of all, we are really looking for a proactive and positive people manager, who has a real focus on customer satisfaction, product quality and delivering results.

This is a permanent position and the core working hours are 37.5 hours per week on Monday to Friday. In return, we offer a competitive salary package and excellent benefits.
