Blatchford has an exciting opportunity for an Orthotist to bring their enthusiasm and experience to a dynamic team of Prosthetists, Orthotists and Technicians across the University Hospitals Morecambe Bay NHS Trust and North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Responsibilities of the Orthotist:
As an Orthotist with Blatchford you will use your skills to provide your patients across the region with the most appropriate an effective treatment, to meet their individual needs. You will provide clinically appropriate high-level orthotic services to a wide range of patients, communicating effectively with the patient and the multi-disciplinary team, to ensure they receive the best possible treatment. You will deal with a caseload of patients, covering general orthotics and paediatrics, so you will see a variety of different orthotic cases and patient requirements. Within the clinics there are opportunities to develop clinical specialisms within paediatrics, neurology, diabetic foot management and musculoskeletal medicine, depending on your individual development preferences.
Requirements of the Orthotist:

Ideally candidates will have some post graduate experience, with the enthusiasm to further develop and progress. It is essential that applicants are degree qualified in Prosthetics/ Orthotics and are HCPC registered.
