We now have an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician, to join our busy CNC Manufacturing team based in our rapidly growing facility in Basingstoke.

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for machine operation within the flexible manufacturing unit to ensure component parts are manufactured to specification.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with the ability to work on their own initiative to achieve deadlines and targets. They will have experience of setting & operating CNC turning machines, hand deburring & able to accurately use standard measuring equipment and gauges. They will have a flexible approach and a positive working style, with strong attention to detail.

They will utilise their skills and experience to take responsibility for:

  • Setting & operating CNC turning machines
  • Manufacturing components to drawings
  • Shotblasting components to drawings
  • Deburring components to drawings
  • Quality control
  • Assisting and supporting team members when necessary
  • Performing other tasks within the department
  • Good workshop practice and general housekeeping required to maintain a safe working environment
  • Following route cards
  • Filling in route cards, in line inspection sheets and time sheets

The role is full time and permanent, working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday on an alternating shift pattern; 06:30 – 14:30 & 14:00 – 22:00. Therefore we are ideally looking for someone who has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.  The successful candidate will most likely have completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, however we welcome applications from engineers without formal qualifications but who can demonstrate considerable experience in similar roles.
