Manufacturing Technician – Assembly

Blatchford is an award winning rehabilitation provider, who are proud to be industry leaders in the Prosthetics and Orthotics market, with first class manufacturing facilities, distributing product throughout the UK and overseas, including being the leading supplier of services and products to the NHS.

We are now looking for a Technician, to join our busy Precision Assembly Department based in our rapidly growing manufacturing site in Basingstoke and work as an integral part of our specialist prosthetics manufacturing team.

We welcome applications from experienced assembly technicians looking to further develop their experience in a very specialist environment or from pragmatic individuals with some manufacturing experience, who are looking to train and develop within a unique business.

Due to the unique nature of our industry experience in prosthetics manufacturing is not essential, although it is highly beneficial. In order to excel in this role the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at a technical level, both verbally and written when required. They will be able to follow instructions methodically and accurately and work well within a team.

You’ll be focused and flexible in your approach, and able to operate in a target driven environment. You will be a reliable team worker and be trusted to complete tasks accurately and to deadline.

You will utilise these skills in:

  • The assembly of electrical/mechanical components, including pneumatics/ hydraulics.
  • Self-inspection and testing.
  • Final inspection of finished products with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Liaise closely with engineering team to support new products and processes.
