We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Production Engineer, to join our industry leading research and development team based in our rapidly growing facility in Basingstoke.

Working as an Electronics Production Engineer you will take responsibility for the design of electronic products for prosthetics, orthotics and associated components.

Prosthetics and Orthotics is a unique and bespoke industry, therefore this is a great opportunity for the successful engineer to join an award winning R&D department, working with the very best engineers in the industry.

Responsibilities of the Electronics Production Engineer:

  • Development of electronic hardware and software for prototype and pre-production embedded solutions
  • Design, build and assembly of Mechatronic prototype devices
  • Specify components and equipment required for product development
  • Development of instrumentation for measurements and end of line testing
  • Compliance work to meet medical devices regulatory requirements for electronics
  • Provide technical support during patient trials and to sales, production and technical staff
  • Interact with sub-contractors on sub-contract design and manufacture, providing appropriate documentation and technical support

Requirements of the Electronics Production Engineer:

A strong background in embedded control system design, embedded real-time programming, interfacing sensors to microcontrollers and general digital and analogue electronic design is essential. DC and stepper motor control and interfacing sensors to microcontrollers is also highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will also have the skills to design and test embedded systems and communication systems. Experience and skills in PCB schematic capture, PCB layout, PCB assembly, and PIC microcontrollers is advantageous, as is knowledge of Biomechanics.

Candidates will be qualified at BSc/BEng (honours) degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or related subject and will have extensive post-graduate experience in a relevant role.
