As Bid Writer, you’ll be responsible for producing and delivering high-quality bid material to support business development activity and drive business retention and growth. Using your project management skills, you’ll take ownership of the internal bid process to ensure timely and effective completion of all bids from PQQ onwards.  You’ll write and deliver the content for the bids working cross-functionally with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gain the relevant information to translate into engaging bid material. You will build solid internal relationships with these SMEs to ensure accurate and timely delivery of this information, often working to tight deadlines.

You’ll also develop and maintain an effective database of information and liaise with the UK team to ensure this is always up to date and accurate and use this to create and promote an environment of continuous improvement helping to improve our overall achievement.

Working with the UK team, you’ll attend site visits as necessary, and be an integral part of the bid/no bid process.  Visiting our existing services will allow you to review how we add value and demonstrate best practice to be able to utilise this in bids for future contracts.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have experience of planning, writing and executing winning tenders in line with pre-defined briefs.  Your excellent written communication skills will ensure you produce quality bid responses.  You’ll also be able to influence others, to ensure priorities and actions are clear and achieved.  Your project management skills will allow you to manage your own workload and to ensure that others across the UK team are clear about their priorities.

Ideally, you’ll have a qualification in bid/proposal writing, and a degree in or experience of prosthetics and orthotics would be advantageous.
