Blatchford staff climb Scafell Pike for charity

Posted on 6th October 2014

On Saturday 20th September, 28 members of Blatchford staff from across the business got together to climb England’s highest peak. The team climbed Scafell Pike in Cumbria on behalf of the Blatchford Charity of the Year – STEPS.

We met on Friday at a fantastic Youth Hostel sat right on the banks of Wastwater, the deepest lake in England, where we enjoyed an lovely evening meal and began to prepare ourselves for the big climb the next day.

We set off early on a beautiful morning and but as we climbed the weather closed in and so we reached the rather cloudy and damp peak by lunchtime. The descent brought us back into the sunshine and and we were all thrilled to have made it up and down in one piece!

Everybody agreed it had been a brilliant weekend and we’d like to say a big thank you to all of our team who carried out the climb and to everybody who offered to sponsor them.
