Blatchford Group Awarded Investors in People Gold
Posted on 26th August 2016
We’re pleased to announce that Blatchford has been awarded a company-wide gold ‘Investors in People’ status.
In 2016, the opportunity arose to combine both Chas A. Blatchford & Sons and Blatchford Products Ltd into one ‘Investors in People’ assessment. As the standard became more flexible, Blatchford’s international locations, including the US, Germany, Norway and France, could also be included in the accreditation, aligning with Blatchford’s ‘one company, one vision, one future’ strategy.
Blatchford operates NHS and private clinics, including the Leicester Specialist Mobility Centre, Sheffield Northern General Hospital and many other centres across the UK.
To be awarded a gold accreditation, the nominee must achieve all 9 indicators listed below at ‘developed’ or ‘established’ and 7 of the 9 indicators at ‘advanced’ level.
- Leading and inspiring people
- Living the organisation’s values and behaviours
- Empowering and involving people
- Structuring work
- Recognising and rewarding performance
- Managing performance
- Building capability
- Delivering continuous improvement
- Creating sustainable success
Adrian Stenson, CEO of the Blatchford Group, commented, “This is a tremendous achievement for the whole business. The assessors commented that our organisation has made significant progress since the last assessment, especially in relation to the commitment to our vision of improving the lives of patients and living our values. I am particularly proud that we have achieved this award as one company. This shows that all employees, irrespective of job or location have come together as one and that with one vision and teamwork, we can achieve what we have set out to do.”
Only 3% of companies presented with an ‘Investors in People’ award reach gold status.
