Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update from Blatchford

In light of the rapidly evolving situation relating to the Covid-19 virus, we wanted to update you on our plans to help ensure continuity of supply to your organisation during the coming period.

Safety

Blatchford takes the safety and wellbeing of its patients, customers and employees very seriously and has instigated enhanced hygiene and infection control protocols at all of its sites.  We will continue to monitor and follow all relevant government and WHO guidelines in a responsible manner and will provide further updates in the event of any significant changes. We communicate with our teams daily to update them about the situation.

Clinical services (direct patient care)

We have introduced enhanced hygiene and infection control across all of our clinical sites to maintain a safe and controlled environment. We are prioritising care based on clinical need, looking after vulnerable patients and staff and communicating across all stakeholders to reduce risk.

Customer Services

We have good flexibility through our multi-skilled customer service teams based in a variety of locations in Europe and the US.  They are able to work remotely and if necessary, phones will be diverted between sites.  Members of our clinical, education and management team can also support the customer service team.

Stock

We have distribution centres in the UK, Germany and the US, and have the capability to fulfil orders from any of these as necessary. We are increasing stocks of finished goods. Patient-specific orders will be prioritised.

Deliveries

Our supplier is UPS, which operates on a global basis and has robust contingency plans in place with the aim of keeping any possible disruption to a minimum. 

Supply Chain

We are working with our supply chain partners to ensure we have a resilient supply chain and can continue to meet all product and service demands.

Sales and Clinical Education teams

We recognise customers will be responding to a dynamic situation regarding patient appointments.  Our sales and clinical teams will call ahead to ensure any meeting arrangements are still valid.  In any event, they remain at your service to provide support as required and have the ability to coordinate to meet your needs, communicating via phone and video as necessary.
