Blatchford Clinical Services follow up on last year's successes with new contracts in Gillingham, Kent and Northampton. Our clinicians will be providing prosthetics at Gillingham and orthotics in Northampton.

We are particularly proud to have been awarded the Orthotic Countywide Service contract for Northamptonshire, which is the first of its type in the UK where a PCT has tendered its orthotic service including the contract to provide all aspects of the service including: facilities, clinicians, administrators and supply of products. The service set up is well underway and the doors on the new clinical facilities are due to open on the 1st April 2010.

“It is an exciting and busy time for Blatchford Clinical Services” said Adrian Stenson, Clinical Service Director, “with sustained growth and an excellent and dedicated team. These NHS contract awards recognise our first class clinical care for patients and the innovative and effective services we provide”.

From the 1st April 2010, we will provide the services at 16 NHS Centres, the visiting service on the Isle of Man and the growing specialist service for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court.

These prestigious contracts confirm the reputation Blatchford has built in the day-to-day care of amputees. Over 30% of UK NHS prosthetics and orthotics contracts are now successfully run by Blatchford and these latest awards recognise the quality of care provided by our teams of clinicians and technical staff.
