Associate Clinical Specialist: Product Development

We have a vacancy for a highly experienced Orthotist interested in developing the clinical application of orthotic products.

The role will require a highly confident clinician who is able to influence orthotists to review and develop their practice. The role will involve supporting staff to collect clinical evidence through the use of gait analysis and other electronic technologies.

There will also be a requirement to work closely with the Blatchford manufacturing team in Sheffield to improve outcomes and so experience in an operational environment would be an asset. The role will involve providing clinical input into the development of orthotic products, including footwear and will involve close liaison with our Footwear Development Manager.

The post holder should be prepared to support research programmes and therefore a c.v. containing published research would be an advantage. Extensive training for orthotists in the correct clinical application of products will be a key requirement and so experience in education and teaching would also be an advantage.

In order to develop the role the post holder will be expected to hold or complete a course in further education at the level of either Masters or PhD.

The post will require extensive travel to support orthotists working in locations throughout the UK therefore a current UK driving licence is essential.

An enhanced CRB check will be carried out for the successful applicant and any job offer will be dependent upon the results thereof.
