We are currently recruiting an experienced Plastic Technician to work within the Plastic manufacturing team at Sheffield Atlas Way.

The range of responsibilities will include:

• Manufacture of AFO’s, KAFO’s, Wrist Splint’s and Spinal braces from cast and measurements

• To liaise with Orthotists to interpret customer orders

• Maintain team performance against agreed targets in-line with department standard times and volumes

• Identify opportunities for process improvement to achieve increased productivity/cost saving

This role requires an enthusiastic and flexible person who is able to work well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a production background, with good hand skills and experience of operating light machinery. An understanding of rectification/moulding and trimming processes would be desirable but is not essential as training would be given.
