Manufacturing Technician - FMU - Basingstoke

Chas A Blatchford & Sons Ltd is the largest Prosthetic and Orthotic Company in the UK and a leading supplier of Services and Products to the NHS. The company also has numerous overseas interests, predominantly specialising in prosthetic product sales.

Double Day Shift (Week One 6:30 to 14:30, Week Two 14:00 to 22:00)

Requirements of role:

• Set & operate CNC machines.
• Assist and support the Team Leader.
• Support other tasks within and outside the department.
• To be responsible for own inspection and quality.

Experience & Skills required:

• Apprenticeship served, or engineering background.
• Experience in high precision component machining on CNC turning/horizontal machining centres.
• Some grinding knowledge.
• Ability to pre-set various tooling.
• Ability to use CNC inspection equipment.
• PC skills.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, pro-active and reliable. They will need to demonstrate a positive and flexible working attitude to their work. They will also have the ability to contribute in a small team environment, have good communication skills, a willingness and ability to coach and train others and a commitment to quality and excellence.
